GOAB Switch

Goab switch is an air brake switch which stands for Gang Operated Air Brake switch. The name gang operated is due to the fact that there are three separate switches on each phase from a single control. Goab switches are popular due to their high quality performance, functionality and low service cost. The switch contacts are open in air and the arc is extinguished by the compressed air.
The effort required to open and close these switches is minimal, even at higher voltages. The voltage range is in between 11KV to 33KV, and current ranges from 400 amp to 1200 amp. The components of the switch are robust and rugged which make them to operate in severe conditions such as pole deflection and vibration.
